Seyed Mojtaba Vahedi, born on 5 Shahrivar 1343 in Qom, is a prominent Iranian political analyst, essayist, and journalist.
With a complex background, he played a significant role in the Iranian Revolution of 1979, which led to the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Born into an Islamist family, Vahedi initially supported the revolution and later became the editor-in-chief of Aftab Yazd newspaper.
However, over time, Vahedi became disenchanted with the Islamic government, eventually becoming a vocal critic.
His journey took a notable turn when he joined Reza Pahlavi, the Crown Prince of Iran, serving as Pahlavi’s advocate. In this capacity, Vahedi actively promotes the monarchy as an alternative to the current Islamic regime in Iran.
